Tarengarie Safari!!

Peter and Hope while driving the safari path...
About four weeks ago, (while mom and Lesli were still here), we went on an amazing Safari trip where we spent two nights sleeping amongst the roar of lions and sound of elephants EXTREMELY close to our tents!! One night I kept hearing something very close to my side of the tent chomping away...and then it walked over to Lesli's side! She was sleeping so I climbed on top of her bed, pulled the curtains back, and it was a dik dik (which looks kind-of like a deer) eating outside her window!! haha, I woke her up too, it was funny! :-) Not much sleep for me that weekend, but SO much fun...and an experience of a lifetime!!! We have been blessed to have Peter and Mary take us to so many places around Tanzania to explore! (The picture with the river running through, we could see from our tent's porch!! What an incredible site to wake up to! The people at the lodge would also have tea and coffee waiting at a table on our porch at the time we told them we would wake up!

These LIONS were SO very close to our truck!! Very COOL to see!

As you can tell, we were extremely close to these elephants, SO much that the workers at the park were warning us to get back! Earlier that morning one charged at a guest staying there!

These were the tents we stayed in! No real walls around our beds, just cloth! So this was just a tiny bit of our safari journey...the pictures don't even do it justice, IT WAS AMAZING!!
